Broodkeeper Diurna

Tanks

  • In phase one, have one tank stay on the boss and one picking up all the add spawns.
  • The tank dealing with the boss needs to move her around to new eggs every time they are destroyed.
  • Mortal Stoneclaws is a tank debuff causing Mortal Wounds and Crushing Stoneclaws.
  • The tank dealing with the adds need to pick up every newly spawned group and keep them at least 50 yards away from the boss.
  • In phase two taunt swap around Mortal Stoneclaws. It now has a much longer duration.

Healers

  • Icy Shroud and Frozen Shroud cause a healing absorb that needs spot healing away.
  • Keep an eye on the boss tank. They receive 50% reduced healing during Mortal Wounds.
  • In phase two boss abilities overlap and ramp up in damage. Use cooldowns effectively.

DPS

  • Assign two players to use Greatstaff’s Wrath to kill the eggs.
  • Adds should be interrupted and killed as quickly as possible.
  • Ranged and classes that have a lot of cleave without sacrificing single target are effective for the adds.
  • Spread loosely around boss to limit needed movement.
  • Use Heroism/Bloodlust in phase two.

Phase One

This phase revolves around two groups. One group of players will move around collecting the enemy adds that spawn near the edge of the area. If these enemies get within 50 yards of Diurna, they will be empowered and take no damage until they are moved away. These adds spawn on a ti9mer so it is important they are dealt with efficiently, otherwise they will overwhelm the group.
The group that deals with Diurna will need two players plus the tank to deal with the eggs. This is done when she slams her staff into the ground, an extra action button will appear that allows them the use of Greatstaff’s Wrath. When then use it, a beam of energy follows them and they need to move the beam over one of the Rapid Incubating eggs to destroy it before an enemy spawns.
Every time eggs are destroyed, the tank will need to move the boss to another set of eggs. There are several possible routes to take, but keep in mind Diurna should be nowhere near to any upcoming add spawns, so the tanks should have researched their routes beforehand. Keep moving her ahead of Rapid Incubation, as once eggs have a timer, they will need destroying even if they weren’t the intended eggs to break next.
Diurna will also puts Icy Shroud on players that slows then and needs spot healing, otherwise the player continuously takes damage. If this is still on players during Wildfire, the players might not be able to move out of the AOE fast enough. Wildfire simple drops an AOE under players after a couple of seconds, place them out of the way then move off of them.

Phase Two

When all of the eggs have been destroyed, the group should kill off any remaining adds and move to the boss. This is the ideal time to use Heroism/Bloodlust. Loosely spread around her, leaving space for melee to run outwards. During this phase Diurna will gain a 15% damage buff every 30 seconds. This effect stacks and acts as a soft enrage.
Now her staff is empowered and automatically targets several players with the beam of energy that will slowly chase them damaging anyone it touches, so players who are targeted should be careful not to run through other players. While these beams are chasing players, the greatstaff will pulse heavy damage on the raid, using defensives and healing cooldowns here can make a huge difference.
Wildfire now pulses twice, the first time is exactly the same as phase one, but then it will strike nearby again 4 seconds later. Players just need to remember to move again when this happens. What can make this deadly is the last ability, Frozen Shroud. This is a beefed up version of Icy Shroud that affects many more players and freezes them in place. This debuff can be healed off exactly the same as Icy Shroud#, but can also be damaged to free the players. Try to be close to other players without being too close that you cause damage to them for this reason.

Greatstaff’s Wrath

Rapid Incubation

Diurna casts a spell causing the two nearest eggs to rapidly hatch. If the eggs aren’t broken within a few seconds a dragon will spawn and attack the raid group.

Wildfire

All players within 50 yards are marked with a circle, after a few seconds fire will fly to the location the players were standing causing heavy damage to anyone within the area.

Empowered Greatstaff’s Wrath

Diurna charges her staff causing it to chase several players with energy beams. These beams deal massive damage to anyone within 3 yards as they move. While this happens the raid takes heavy damage from the staff pulsing with energy.
