  • Use offensive cooldowns during the intermission to kill the add.
  • Don’t AOE in the intermission. Focus your DPS on the one enemy the group needs to kill to survive.
  • CC adds that spawn in the main phase.

Main Phase

Tank the boss half way between the centre and the edge of the room, moving him every time Flamerifts explode as they leave Lava Flow puddles. When players get debuffed with Flamerift, they should group together close to Eranog, and then all move to the other side of him after they explode. This increases the chance that enemies that spawn in the explosion will cross Eranog, making cleave much more efficient.
Eranog will cast Incinerating Roar throughout the fight. This is an AOE damaging spell that leaves a DoT on the raid group. Healers simply need to keep players topped up and cleanse whenever they can to remove it. If players get hit with Incinerating Roar while they still have the debuff, it will refresh and add a stack, which can become painful if left unaided.
The last ability Eranog uses in this phase is Molten Spikes, which reduces the available playing space when they spawn, causing damage to anyone who gets hit by them. These simply will explode when he uses Incinerating Roar causing damage to nearby players.

Intermission

When Eranog reaches 100 energy he will jump to the centre of the area and start to channel Pulsing Flames. While he is doing this an Army of Flame will spawn around the outside of the arena forming links between them and slowly moving in towards the centre. Touching the links will kill the players, but killing one of the Army of Flame will create a gap that players can pass through. Because time is critical during the intermission, the raid should focus all of their DPS onto just one enemy. Spreading the damage here is just a waste of time and doesn’t add anything to the groups progression. After 21 seconds Eranog will cause a massive eruption of fire damage to anyone within 20 yards. After this has happened he will repeat the main phase again.
