  • As Kazzara loses health Infernal Heart will deal more ticking damage to the raid.

DPS

  • Use space effectively.

The Fight

Kazzara is a single phase fight with damage that ramps up as her health decreases. The group should use Heroism/Bloodlust at the beginning as it lines up with everyone’s cooldowns and is completely possible to skip some mechanics with enough damage. The tanks should face her away from the group and have the team spread out around her. Whenever she reaches 100 energy she will turn and face a random player and channel Hellbeam, a frontal cone dragon breath attack which is completely avoidable, but the raid still takes pulsing damage for the duration.
She will periodically use Wings of Extinction which knocks back all players and puts a damage over time on everyone for 20 seconds. Players should be careful standing in front of the lava pools or Dread Rifts as this can push you into them. Whenever Kazzara reaches 80%, 60% and 40% health, she sheds some of her armour, making several swirls over the floor to avoid and pulsing AOE damage. This also causes her other mechanics to become stronger.
She will periodically cast Dread Rifts on several players which causes them to explode after 5 seconds, dropping puddles on the floor. Dread Rifts should always be put out of the way at the back and sides, leaving room for players to get behind them. This is because Rays of Anguish are beams of shadowflame that target a player and chase them. Escorting these Rays into a floor puddle causes them to despawn. If you don’t despawn them quick enough they will start to pulse raid wide damage that quickly gets out of control.

Glossary

Terror Claws

Kazzara strikes her current target for massive physical and shadowflame damage and inflicts the target with Charred Gash.

Charred Gash

Targets hit by Terror Claws get this debuff causing them to take moderate shadowflame damage every second for 25 seconds and increases the damage done by Terror Claws by 200%. This effect stacks.

Wings of Extinction

Kazzara violently flaps her wings pushing players back and leaving them with a debuff dealing light shadowflame damage every 2 seconds for 20 seconds.

Hellsteel Carnage

At 80%, 60% and 40% health Kazzara’s armour will shatter causing swirls along with raid wide shadowflame damage. Each time this happens, more players will be targeted by Dread Rifts and the damage of Infernal Heart will increase.

Infernal Heart

Deals light shadowflame damage to the raid. Damage from this ramps up as Kazzara loses health.

Hellbeam

Whenever Kazzara reaches 100 energy, she will face a random player and channel a frontal attack. Any player caught in it will take heavy damage every 0.3 seconds. All players take damage while she channels this ability.

Dread Rifts

Several players are marked with a debuff. After 5 seconds they will drop a Dread Rift onto the floor causing an explosion to anyone within 5 yards. Dread Rifts leave a Riftburn puddle behind that causes heavy damage to anyone who stands in them.

Riftburn

A puddle left behind when a Dread Rift explodes. These can be closed by leading a Ray of Anguish into them.

Ray of Anguish

A beam of shadowflame that targets a player and chases them. It deals heavy damage every 0.3 seconds to anyone it touches and leaves behind Molten Scar as it moves. These need to be guided into Dread Rifts to remove them.

Molten Scar

As Ray of Anguish moves it leaves a trail of scorched ground in it’s wake. Anyone who stands on this takes moderate shadowflame damage every second.
